Particularly loved by the residents of Ancona, the Trave is an actual strip of rocks that extends over the sea for about 1 km. At the moment, it is not allowed to go there due to landslide risks.

HOW TO GET THERE?By car with the Strada Provinciale del Conero, towards Portonovo; then you keep going by foot from the road to get to Mezzavalle.

San Michele - Sassi Neri
San Michele - Sassi Neri

Long and vast beach, free and wild, it is a popular destination for many naturalists.

Type of beach? Pebbles and dark gravel.

How to get there?By foot from the Repubblica Park in Sirolo, or by bus from Sirolo's Town Hall. Accessible by car only off-season.

La Vela is a very characteristic rock and dear to Conero lovers, it offers particularly crystalline water around it. It is often a place of transit for the wild goats of the Conero.

Type of beach?Gravel and smooth stones.

How to get there?Reachable by public transport or by your own means, once you arrive at the south end of Portonovo, you walk along the part below the church and arrive at this long stretch of coast. Path not particularly easy.

A particular point where Monte Conero plunges vertically into the sea and the white rocks sink into the intense blue of the Adriatic waters, here a sheltered inlet opens up: the Gabbiani Beach. A place that looks like a small wild paradise where seagulls usually nest.

How to get there?Sup, kayaks, canoes and boats.

Mezzavalle
Mezzavalle

First white stretch of coast of the Riviera del Conero. It is a bit of a challenge to get there, but that doesn't stop the tourists from crowding this segment of public beach during the weekends. You can reach it through a steep path north of Portonovo or by boat. Lacking in bathing establishments, there are however showers, services and a restaurant.

Type of beach? Pebbles and gravel.

How to get there? By car, Strada Provinciale del Conero, towards Portonovo. By foot, alongside two paths descending the side of a riverbed; one longer and more intricated, the other shorter and steeper.

Cove at the foot of the North side of Conero. The green scenery of the mountain acts as a counterpoint to the white rocks of the beach. There is an alternation of public beaches and fully-equipped areas, with fish restaurants overlooking the sea. Surfists' favourite meeting point when the South winds are blowing.

Type of beach? Gravel and smooth pebbles.

How to get there? By car, Strada Provinciale del Conero, towards Portonovo; there's a road descending the side of the mountain. Limited parking. In the case of closure to traffic, there will be a shuttle bus from the upper parking.

Urbani
Urbani

A charming crescent-shaped beach, nestled between a cave and a high cliff protected by a semicircular barrier of rocks. The pungent smell of the pine trees, the vast beach equipped with bathing establishments, the clean water make this cove a unique spot, awarded many times with the Bandiera Blu prize.

Type of beach:Pebbles and gravel.

How to get there?By foot, by car or with a shuttle bus; a road long 1 km descends to the beach from Sirolo's center.

Fine-sand beach, charming and snug, well-equipped and dominated by Conero's rocky cliff.

How to get there?By foot from the Numana Alta beach (adjacent).

Marcelli
Marcelli

Beach equipped with bathing establishments, sports facilities, bars and restaurants. Perfect both for families and young people.

Type of beach? Fine gravel.

How to get there? By car or public transport, south of Numana.

Lovely, sophisticated and snug beach, rich with colourful rows of beach umbrellas. Well-equipped bathing establishments, shallow water protected by three reefs make this stretch of coast just north of the port one of the most beloved by tourists, mostly from Rome and Milan.

How to get there? By bus; 15 minutes from Numana's square.

Numana bassa
Numana bassa

Golden and vast beach, sun-drenched and ventilated: bathing establishments, sports facilities, bars and restaurants make this area perfect both for families and young people. From Numana port, equipped for every kind of boat, to Marcelli, you can park on the waterfront road.

How to get there? By car or public transport, south of Numana.

Symbol of the Conero Riviera, so named for the two twin rocks that emerge from the sea, it is the first white beach on the southern side of Mount Conero. Since it can only be reached by sea, this stretch of coast is still wild and unspoiled: no type of service is present.

Type of beach? Gravel, pebbles and rocks.

How to get there? Only by sea; daily ferry runs from the port of Numana and from some beaches at certain times of the year (to find out which ones and their respective timetables, contact the Resort Reception)
